People often think growing up in care is all doom and gloom — but actually, it made me who I am today: strong, stubborn (in the best way), resilient, and completely allergic to judging anyone too quickly.

Sure, I don’t have a shiny university degree hanging on the wall, but I’ve got something you can’t teach — real-life experience, a big heart, and a fire in my belly to make life better for children, foster carers, social workers, and teachers who walk this journey every day.

I’d love nothing more than to do this kind of work full-time — shouting about foster care, supporting families, inspiring professionals, and helping young people see their worth. But let’s be honest… voluntary work doesn’t pay the bills, and despite checking every spring, I still haven’t found that money tree at the bottom of the garden. 🌳💸

So here I am, looking for the right agency or organisation willing to take a chance on me — someone who truly gets it, and wants to turn passion into progress. Together, we can show the world that foster care isn’t just about surviving — it’s about thriving, laughing, learning, and building a future full of heart.
